<p>Hello SAY Play Families!</p>



<p><br>SAY Detroit Play Center&nbsp;<strong>will be closedfrom March 28th &#8211; April 3rd&nbsp;</strong>for spring&nbsp;break. We will reopen the Center and resume transportation services&nbsp;starting&nbsp;on&nbsp;<strong>Monday, April 4, 2022 at 3:30pm.</strong>Prior to your child&#8217;s return to the Center, we are requiring that they present as&nbsp;<strong>negative RAPID COVID-19 test&nbsp;</strong>upon their&nbsp;arrival.&nbsp;We also ask that your child&#8217;s test results are recorded at least 72 hours prior to the&nbsp;reopening of the Center.</p>

<p>Hello SAY Play Families,</p>



<p>We have been made aware that certain Detroit Public Schools will be virtual until the end of January. </p>



<p>We are happy to announce that beginning&nbsp;<strong>Tuesday, January 18, we are opening SAY Play in the morning to support your child&#8217;s virtual learning</strong>&nbsp;by&nbsp;providing a&nbsp;warm, supervised and Wi-Fi-enabled center from which they can attend their virtual classes.&nbsp;</p>



<p><strong>What does this mean?</strong></p>



<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>DPS students attending virtual classes can do so from SAY Play Monday &#8211; Friday, 9AM &#8211; 3PM</li><li>We are equipped to provide laptops, Wi-Fi, supplies, and in-person staff support</li><li>We will provide a nutritious breakfast upon their arrival and a hot lunch at noon.&nbsp;</li><li>We are still holding our after-school activities from 3PM &#8211; 6:30PM (6PM on Fridays). This way, your child can easily transition into their regular after-school&nbsp;activities.</li><li>It is the parent/guardian’s responsibility to get their student to SAY Play in the mornings. We cannot provide transportation to SAY Play at this time. However,&nbsp;transportation home in the evenings (following after-school activities) will continue as normal.&nbsp;</li><li>This support opportunity will end&nbsp;<strong>January 31, 2022</strong>&nbsp;or when DPS schools return to in-person attendance, unless noted otherwise.</li></ul>

<p>Hello SAY Play Families!&nbsp;<br>In a previous email, we let you know of the exciting and new programs that will be coming to SAY Detroit Play Center.<br>We&#8217;d like to introduce the&nbsp;<strong>Drone Apprenticeship Program!</strong></p>



<ul class="wp-block-list"><li>This 16-week introductory program is geared to expose students (ages 14-18 years old) on how drones are used in the following industries: Construction, Cinematography, Mapping, and Emergency Preparedness. </li><li>Students can also earn the following certifications: OSHA 10, Blueprint Reading, Lean Six Sigma (white belt), Recreational UAS Drone Safety Test, and &#8220;Scratch Programming Language&#8221;. </li><li>Headed by Coach Bing, this program will meet every Tuesday and Thursday &#8211; with Saturday teachings also being offered to help prepare for summer employment for qualified &amp; eligible applicants.&nbsp;</li></ul>

<p>Hello SAY Play families!<br>It is our&nbsp;hope that your holiday time was great and rejuvenating!&nbsp;<br>As we begin to resume programming today, we want to be sure that every child&nbsp;that attends the Center, and our respective families, are kept in the best care possible.&nbsp;<br>With the State of Michigan currently ranking as #1 in the country for&nbsp;<em>positive</em>&nbsp;COVID-19 cases, SAY Play wants to ensure that we are supporting you in the best&nbsp;way possible.&nbsp;<br><strong>If you believe your child has shown&nbsp;<em><u>any</u></em>&nbsp;signs of the following symptoms, we kindly ask that you have him/her remain home until you are able to get them tested:</strong></p>
