Enroll Your Child

Thank you for your interest in joining the SAY Detroit Play Center!

As part of the umbrella of programing from SAY Detroit, we are happy to announce that we can provide this program free of charge. However, since spots are limited, we are asking for the following commitments:

❏ Students must be engaged participants in all activities.

❏ Students must exhibit excellent citizenship. This includes all participants being respectful to all young people in the program, all adults and interns, and to themselves.

❏ Students will report each day to the afterschool program no later than 4:15 p.m.

❏ Students who are absent more than five times may face suspension and/or dismissal from the program

Joining means you are agreeing to support a loving, safe, and active community where students are expected to build their academic, social, creative, and athletic abilities. In so doing we thank you for helping to create a stronger, safer, smarter community for all of us.

How to sign up

To enroll in person, stop by any weekday between 3:00 and 7:00 p.m. (6:00pm on Fridays) to enroll your child today. Please bring a copy of your child(ren)’s most recent report card. An online account to manage your membership will then be created for you.

attendance requirements

Written absence excuses must be provided to sayplay@saydetroit.org Please include the following in your written absence excuse: your child’s first and last name, the reason for the absence, ask that your child’s absence be excused, sign the excuse (if emailed, type your full name), and provide your cell phone or best phone number in the email.
Students may miss up to 4 consecutive days (or a week) for family activities/vacation with written notification at least three days in advance.
Please Note: Dates and times of each annual after-school program or summer camp will be provided at parent orientations and newsletter.
