Space Invaders Artist Residency Exhibition

Hello People of The World!

Join us to celebrate the end of the Space Invaders Artist Residency and discover the work created by young artists Oluwaseyi Akintoroye, Lindsey Bodden, Lamar Dupree, London Hill, Brianna Logan, Dejuan McCurrie, Rahmani Muhammed, Rahmyza Muhammad, Tyler Russell, Caria Taylor.

The Space Invaders Artist Residency was conceived by Capturing Belief co-founders Romain Blanquart and Khary Mason in collaboration with SAY Detroit Play Center with support from the Knight Foundation.

Ten young Detroiters gained perspective and expanded their knowledge in the crafts of their mentors: printmaker, draftsman and photographer Rashaun Rucker, poet Claretha “Peace” Bell, podcaster/storyteller Shannon Cason, filmmaker Jalyn Baity, artist and educator Sabrina Nelson.

Where: 1250 Hubbard St. *entrance on Porter St.*.

BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Due to the ongoing Covid pandemic, you must RSVP your time slot by emailing romain@capturingbelief.com to schedule your visit.

The Space Invaders Artist Residency is a collaborative project between Capturing Belief and SAY Detroit Play Center, the recipients of a Knight Art Challenge grant. This project would not be possible without the generous support of the Knight Foundation, Fujifilm, Southwest Housing Solutions, Adobe, ProCam, Camera Bits and David Gilkey’s family for their continued support.
