SAY Detroit Play Center Grand Opening

Oct 21, 2015 | News + Updates | 1 comment

That’s right, The SAY Detroit Play Center is officially open!

Our mission at SAY Play is to give the students of Detroit a state of the art facility to improve their academics, get involved with music and dance, and have a safe environment to participate in recreational sports. With the help and support from hundreds of people and some amazing organizations , this dream is finally becoming a reality.

We had an incredible opening day with a special visit from Mayor Mike Duggan, Matthew Stafford and his wife Kelly, Chad Audi of the Detroit Rescue Mission, Tom Lewand the President of the Detroit Lions and many of Detroit’s city council members.

A very special thank you for the Osborne High School cheerleaders, the Detroit Cardinals cheerleaders and football team for joining us on the Matthew Stafford Football Field to get the crowd pumped up and catch some passes from Matthew Stafford himself.

SAY Play’s faculty members are so excited that our doors are finally open and our tutors and volunteers are ready to meet the students of Detroit. If you’d like to get involved in SAY Detroit Play Center head to the home page and click on the Volunteer Today! and fill out our volunteer application.
